Go forth and heal the world the lord orders his followers, this scripture seems to have inspired father peter Anthony mulyanga and his Ghanaian asst father koffi bor offeh, on there path in life, these two gentlemen run the catholic parish at mulago hospital in what they refer to as health care ministry, where they give hope to the people of mulago, majority of whom happen to be relatives of the sick and the sick themselves. Father mulyanga says that they provide counseling to them making them believe in continuity, helping them understand that even if something happened, it would not be the end of the world “ so we encourage them to take themselves positively and eliminate the negative feelings” he says.
Born in Kenya to Ugandan parents during the time of the east African community, when his father was the deputy principal at the railway training school. Father peter mulyanga describes himself as a child of east Africa have lived in all the major east Africa capitals arusha, Nairobi and Kampala. He went to school at st Mary’s minor seminary kwale, 30 kilometers from Mombassa, and it is here in his primary six that peter got the calling to become a priest, at the end of his secondary school, he joined a seminary in arusha, where he graduated as a priest and joined the holy ghost fathers also known as spiritans. During his time in the seminary peter tells the story of how he used to think that all priests are the same, only for him to discover that there are different kinds of priests, the asst priests who work in a diocese under a bishop, and religious priests who work hand in hand with diocesan priests but are under there priesthood orders., such as holy ghost fathers, comboni etc.
Peters work in the Holy Ghost fathers was to help young priests get ready for new life in priesthood thus he was referred to as a fermentor.
His first time in mulago was in 1999 when he was posted to mulago as an assistant to father festo adrabo, he later returned in 2010 as parish priest to carry out healthcare ministry at mulago hospital. Peter and his assistant father koffi preach and counsel the sick, the officers of the hospital, and students.

Between him and his assistant, father mulyanga says they transverse the hospital wards praying for the sick and giving counseling to there relatives., he says they get a daily list of patients in the morning, but don’t go to the wards in the morning due to the overlapping activity that goes on in the wards so they go daily in the afternoon, peter and his assistant definitely make a great team, considering he rarely mentions a word about his work in mulago, with out talking about koffi.
Paul senyange who has met both of them says the Ghanaian who doesn’t speak luganda greatly supplements the parish priest as he goes about his work of restoring hope and he re echoes luke 6:33 where the lord says If you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even “sinners” do that.
